Ready to Plan Your Long Island Elopement?

Tell us your date, your rough guest count, and whether you’re more Long Beach, Fire Island, or Montauk energy — we’ll take it from there. You don’t need every detail figured out. That’s what we’re here for.

Why Long Island is the perfect place to Elope

A couple walking hand in hand along the beach at sunset, with waves in the background.

Long Beach

Soft sand, clean boardwalks, and endless ocean views — perfect for simple, stunning sunset ceremonies with easy parking and great spots for a post-ceremony dinner.

Fire Island

From Kismet to Sailors Haven, Fire Island feels like a secret barrier–island getaway: wooden boardwalks, wide open dunes, and quiet stretches of beach made for intimate vows.

Montauk

Cliffside views, the lighthouse, and boutique hotels make Montauk ideal for couples who want relaxed luxury with a little edge. Think editorial photos with salty hair and perfect light.

North shore & Oyster Bay

Calmer bays, marinas, and historic estates for couples who want water views without the waves and wind of the open ocean.

Vineyards & North Fork

Rustic–chic vineyards and farm settings where you can say your vows surrounded by vines, fields, and golden evening light.

Long Island Elopement FAQs

Still have questions about eloping on Long Island? Start here. If you don’t see your question answered, just reach out — we’re happy to walk you through permits, timing, locations, and backup plans.

  • Yes — most Long Island beaches do require permits, especially during peak season or for any formal setup (officiant, photographer, arch, guests, etc.). The rules change from town to town, so once you pick your location we’ll tell you exactly what’s needed and help you secure the correct permit.

  • Our Signature Elopement Packages typically begin within the 90 minutes before actual sunset. That’s when the light is soft and golden, the beaches are less crowded, and your photos look the most cinematic. We’ll recommend the exact start time based on your date and location.

  • Most of our Long Island beach elopements include 0–15 guests, depending on the beach and local rules. If you’re planning for a slightly larger group, we’ll help you choose a location that fits everyone comfortably.

  • Yes. We take care of everything — signing, filing, and confirming that your license has been processed by the town. No follow-up phone calls, no guesswork. You just show up and get married.

  • We always have a Plan B. For ceremonies with under 20 guests, you’ll have access to our beautifully decorated Pop-Up Vows Elopement Suite in Long Beach, NY as an indoor backup. If you’re heading to dinner after, we can often coordinate with your restaurant so the ceremony can be held there before your meal. We’ve had many ceremonies end up at the restaurant and everything always has a way of working out.
